Wow, it is really hard to believe that it has been over a month since I last updated this. Time flies when you're having fun, I guess. I have a bunch of new pictures to put up here, but I'm leaving for China in just a couple of days so it will have to wait until after I get back. When, of course, I will have even MORE pictures to put up!

I'm now in the transition period between what I like to call "Ultimate Frisbee Phase 1" and "Other stuff". I'm heading out this Thursday morning to visit Woody and Betsy in Memphis. Upon returning on Sunday night, I'll immediately pack, and then Sherri and I will head up to the U.P. to do some hiking on Isle Royale and hang out with Vivs at his parents' place. It's the same thing we did
last year but hopefully this time my camera won't die!

OK, pictures from the trip east are up, you can check them out
here or click on the link to Scott and Megan's wedding in the "Weddings" section over there on the left.
In other site news, I added a link to my travel calendar over in the "Cool Stuff Here" section in case anyone is curious what the future holds.

My first trip after leaving work is now over. I spent the past week a
bit closer to the sunrise, spending time in New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. I'll
try to get pictures up tomorrow. Chud and I drove to Lake George, NY last Tuesday. We spent
a night there, with the plan being to rent a canoe the next day and canoe out to an island
where we'd camp a couple of nights. Unfortunately, none of the canoe rental places were open
for the season yet. So, we adjusted our plan and went to a couple of fun campsites, one in
the Adirondacks on Lake Champlain, the other in the Green Mountains of Vermont in Branbury
State Park. Friday morning we headed down to Connecticut on scenic Route 7, eventually ending
up in Bethel, CT where we would go to our friend Scott's wedding the following day. The
wedding was absolutely beautiful, and the food was exemplary (not to mention the drinks!).
Sunday we made the short drive to the Boston area to visit Chud's longtime friend who is now a
Harvard Business School professor, and hung out at his townhouse for the night before heading
home on Monday.

Well, today is my last day of work. After this, I'm taking a week to
relax at home, and then I'm going on my first trip: a return to the Adirondacks for some
canoeing and/or hiking. My last trip there ended prematurely after a bear broke into my
apparently misnamed bear-proof canister and devoured all of my food. Hopefully this trip will
go better. After that, I'm going to saunter over to Connecticut for the weekend for a
friend's wedding.
